A world class facility

built upon an ethos of compassion, equity, respect, patience and love for one another.

Positioned in the west of Jersey, adjacent to the golden sands and turquoise waters of Le Braye, our Surf Therapy Centre first opened in October 2022. Since then it has benefitted hundreds of families across thousands of sessions.

As well as meeting sensory needs, the centre offers a warm and dignified place to get changed in, and a safe space in which to learn, socialise, have fun and, quite simply, belong.

The beach here is regarded as one of the best surfing spots in the Channel Islands as it picks up plenty of Atlantic swell and is long enough never to get too crowded.  Le Braye is the safest and most accessible location for our sessions throughout the summer months due to its heritage style slipways and on duty lifeguards.

The Surf Centre's Impact

This massive achievement is testament to the impact Healing Waves continues to have in Jersey, despite being a small and relatively new charity. It has also provided us with the necessary space to ensure we can continue to grow.

However, running the Surf Therapy Centre has dramatically increased our overheads.

To continue to keep the doors of the centre open and our services running requires a larger level of funding than before, so any support we receive goes a long way towards helping us meet these costs.

There is plenty of public parking, together with bike racks and 3 disabled parking bays right in front of our doors.
