Since 2017 Healing Waves has provided thousands of life-changing sessions each year.

We now have over 500 regular Athletes/families and your support can help us to ensure we continue to change lives long into the future.

Healing Waves can only provide the free of charge services we offer because of the generosity of individuals like you. We receive no financial support from our local government and the charity is completely reliant upon donations to cover all its costs, which exceed £250,000 each year.

From specialist equipment and annual Athlete trophies, to our heroic team of specially trained Surf Therapy Instructors, your support truly does help us to continue changing more lives each year.

Many people like to leave a gift to charity in their Will. A Will is an effective way to plan for the needs of your family and loved ones. By leaving a gift to Healing Waves in your Will, you can help us create a better future for our neurodiverse and mental health community. Your legacy could help us be there for future generations.

Residuary gift

This type of gift is a share of your estate, for example 5%. Many people divide their estate into 100 equal units. After giving to family and loved ones, they then gift a certain number of units to Healing Waves. Unlike a cash gift, leaving a share of your estate means your gift won't devalue over time. This type of gift is the most useful to us.

Cash gift

A cash gift, known as a pecuniary gift, is a fixed sum of money, for example £5000. These gifts are paid out of your estate first, and then what's left is divided as per the instructions in your Will.

Special gift

A specific gift is a nominated object, for example an artwork, a collection of records or an antique. If you do not want to keep a particular item in your family, then this could be a good way to pass the item on.

Useful wording for writing your Will

We recommend that you have your Will written by a solicitor or a professional Will-writing service. This helps prevent any future legal issues. If you would like to leave a gift to Healing Waves in your Will, you and your solicitor can use the formal wording below. This will help ensure your wishes are carried out.

Ouen Love is an ongoing ocean art fundraiser that sees 100% of the profits raised go directly to Healing Waves. Each unique masterpiece is carefully crafted by the exceptionally talented Ben Harrison who works tirelessly behind the scenes each year. The Ouen Love movement has now raised thousands for our cause. Ben creates a variety of items when time allows outside his full-time job, and he is also open to commissions!
